In loving memory of Matt Skinner
Matt Skinner was a gifted artist and a beloved part of the Alliance Tattoo family. His skill, his humor, and his heart left a mark on everyone who sat in his chair — and on all the people he made a little cooler along the way.
We carry his memory with us every day.
Studio policies & aftercare — everything you need before and after your appointment.
Walk-ins are always welcome. Your design must be pre-drawn and printable, and clear enough that it does not need to be completely redrawn (unless it is small enough to draw quickly). It must be small enough to complete in the hours available on arrival, or you can split it across multiple sessions.
Walk-ins are first come, first served, so there may be a wait or the shop may be fully booked. It is best to call first — but even if we are available when you call, someone could walk in before you arrive. Making an appointment is much more convenient.
Designs do not have to be custom to book — you can set a time and date for any design. Custom and large-scale work usually requires an in-person consultation.
Browse our artists' portfolios, pick your favorite, and contact them directly to set up a consultation or appointment. Everything can be discussed by text or phone call. An appointment cannot be made without a deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or design. They can be paid over the phone via various cash apps or in person during a consultation.
A deposit is a down payment and is deducted from the total price (from the final session on multi-session work). Appointments can be rescheduled on the same deposit with at least 24 hours notice. Rescheduling last-minute, no-showing, or arriving more than 30 minutes late without calling means losing the deposit.
Custom designs are the artist's property. We do not do design approval by text or email — you will approve your design the day of your appointment. If you are unhappy, we will work with you to make changes. A full redraw reschedules the appointment at least once on the same deposit; continued changes may add cost.
You must be at least 18 with a valid ID to get tattooed on your own. Some artists will tattoo minors with parental consent and proper paperwork: look up the "Florida minor tattoo consent form" and print it, or we can print one for you. It must be filled out and notarized, with both parent and minor present with valid ID. No exceptions. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Before your appointment: eat a good meal (bring snacks/drinks if needed), wear comfortable clothing that lets us access the area being tattooed, and feel free to bring friends for support. We have a comfortable lobby with games and entertainment.
Leave the bandage on for at least 2 hours. This starts the healing process and helps prevent infection while your skin is most vulnerable.
Wash your hands, then only touch your fresh tattoo with clean hands. Remove the bandage and wash with a mild, unscented liquid soap and warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and let it dry fully for 1–2 hours.
Apply a small amount of unscented lotion — just enough that the skin is soft, not shiny — 3–4 times a day for the first 2–3 weeks. Let the tattoo shed naturally; small color flecks are normal. Do not pick or scratch, as this can scar or damage the look.
Avoid direct sunlight until fully healed — keep it covered by clothing and do not use sunscreen until healed. Afterward, use a broad-spectrum waterproof SPF 30+ and reapply every 2 hours in the sun. No submerging in pools, tubs, lakes, rivers, or oceans until completely healed; showering and regular cleaning is fine.
Some warmth, redness, and irritation is normal. Infection is rare — wear loose, clean clothing, change your sheets regularly, and only touch it with clean hands. If you suspect infection, consult a health professional right away, and please call us with any questions.
Walk-ins first come, first served — call ahead to check availability.
